South Blooming Grove Firefighters Receive Proclamation
Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt (R,C,I-New Windsor) recently presented the South Blooming Grove Fire District and Independence Fire Company with an official New York State Assembly Proclamation in honor of their outstanding service to the community.
The South Blooming Grove Fire District and Independence Fire Company was formed in 1975 and has been protecting the Village of South Blooming Grove for over 40 years. Assemblyman Schmitt joined members during their weekly drill night on December 23rd, 2019 to present the proclamation and thank the volunteer members for their service.
Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt stated, “I am pleased to honor and recognize the volunteer members of the South Blooming Grove Fire District and Independence Fire Company with an official NYS Assembly Proclamation. Their service to our community is invaluable and I thank each and every member for their commitment to protecting South Blooming Grove residents and for service to our Assembly District. The members are always ready to lend a hand to any project and continually show their dedication extends well beyond answering emergency calls for the community and takes in many facets of service to others.”
