Washingtonville JROTC Competes at the MVHS Drill Meet

                On Saturday 01 February 2020 the Washingtonville JROTC Magic Battalion’s Drill Team competed in the annual League Drill Meet hosted by Minisink Valley High School. The Magic Battalion placed in every event and earned 1st place in five of the nine events. Additionally, they won the League Trophy and 1st place overall. The teams competed in the following events: Unarmed Platoon, Unarmed Squad, Unarmed Inspection, Unarmed Color guard, Armed Platoon, Armed Squad, Armed Color Guard, and New Cadet. The event commanders were Steven Tripodianos, Dylan Ryan, Robert Zoldak, Angelica Tripodianos, Norman Vitale, AngeliciaZawislak, Michael Carey, and Timothy Clardy. According to C/PVT Jack Sullivan …” I think the drill meet went great, the teams all put in the work, and it showed”. Overall it was a successful drill meet and the cadets brought home a major win as a team. They are looking forward to the next meet at NFA in March.
